Neither. Story is an independent, professional perfumery — not a franchise and not a craft bar. It is owned and run by people with real, hands-on experience in the fragrance industry, and that experience goes into everything you create here.

We work with genuine perfumery ingredients — not the pre-blended “fragrance notes” found at DIY bars. Your fragrance is built to a real professional standard, with quality that meets or exceeds high-end designer perfume.

A great deal. Our products have been carried in Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and more than 5,000 stores across the country, and we have created fragrances for major brands. Our founder’s bath bombs even earned a place on Oprah’s List.

Yes — booking in advance is necessary. Whether you come as one person or a large group, every session is private: the studio and your perfumer are reserved just for your party, never shared with strangers. We tend to book months ahead, so reserve as early as you can to get the date you want. To book, choose the number of guests attending and check out to reserve your spot at our booking page.

We host fragrance experiences Thursday through Sunday. Available times appear in real time on the booking page, so you will always see exactly what is open.

Plan on about an hour from welcome to finished bottle. We never rush the process — creating a fragrance you truly love is worth taking your time.

The fragrance experience is $55 per person. That includes one-on-one guidance from a perfumer and the 3.2 oz perfume or cologne you create and take home. Tennessee sales tax is added at checkout.

Not a thing. Whether you have never thought past your everyday signature or you can name a dozen raw materials by heart, a perfumer walks you through every step. The only requirement is curiosity.

Either, and both are wonderful. Every fragrance experience is private — whether you come solo or with a party of 50, the studio and your perfumer are reserved just for you. No strangers, no sharing the studio.

Couples, friends, birthdays, bachelorette and bridal parties, and corporate groups are some of our favorite sessions.

We welcome guests ages 8 and older — younger than that is a little too young to enjoy creating a fragrance.

In your private fragrance experience, you create your own scent from more than 300 European-grade fragrances — florals, woods, resins, citruses, musks, and materials you will not find at a craft bar. A perfumer helps you shape a top, heart, and base into something balanced and entirely yours.

This is real professional perfumery: a hands-on experience, not a DIY kit.

Either. The fragrances and the process are the same; the difference lies mostly in concentration and the direction you choose to take your fragrance. Tell your perfumer the mood you are after and they will guide the build.

Yes, absolutely. Men create colognes and fragrances here just as often as women do — it is an experience the men tend to love every bit as much.

You create one signature fragrance and take home a 3.2 oz bottle of it.

Please tell us when you book, and again when you arrive. Your perfumer can steer your fragrance away from specific materials so the experience stays comfortable. If you have a serious fragrance allergy, please check with your doctor first — we want this to be a joy, never a risk.

Yes — engraving is an optional add-on you can choose when booking or in the studio, so your bottle carries your name, a date, or a few words that matter.

You do. You leave with your finished, bottled fragrance in hand at the end of your fragrance experience.

Because there is no water or preservatives in it, your fragrance keeps its character for years when stored well. On skin, longevity depends on the materials you chose — tell your perfumer if staying power is a priority and they will build for it.

Yes. Every creation is recorded as a formula, so your signature can be remade. You can save your formulation in our app and reorder it from there anytime. Your story does not end when the bottle runs low.

Keep it away from heat, direct light, and humidity — a drawer or a closed cabinet is perfect. Fragrance is happiest cool and in the dark.

Yes — a fragrance experience is a genuinely memorable gift. Gift cards are available on our website through the Book Now button.
